I know I shat on Fallout 76 upon release because (checks notes- PTSD flashback to glitches, Black Friday sale at 74% in the same month as release, doxxing the help-tickets accidently)… right.
This is different!
Several years have passed and what a change it’s been. With the Amazon show garnering praise from fans and new watchers alike, people have flocked to the Fallout games like ducks to water. Fallout 76 has been labeled as stable and fun (it took a while, but we got there) and has gotten quite the news:
Ghouls are on the table as a player character!
A certain ghoul has certainly brought more popularity to the species, but let’s be honest- even non-Fallout players wanted to play as ghouls. They look cool, have some of the most intriguing stories, and are staples- nay, foundations- in Fallout lore.
This has been a planned update since before the show according to the developers, but the series has certainly helped with the positive attention. It may still be a while until it drops, but we’ve still got a swathe of games available to satiate our ghoulish hunger yet.
